Do you ever just remember that if the event hadn’t happened then Rex would have probably grown up to be an engineer, have developed his powers with his parent’s help while knowing everything about how nanites worked, and the world would have been a better place?

Rex’s nanites are some of the only completed ones on the planet, besides Black Knight’s. He would be one of the only evos, except that wouldn’t be the term- he’d probably just be referred to as a cyborg, and he would be proud of it and would build stuff and it would be GOOD.

The nanites were created to help cure diseases and stop starvation, it’s only because they weren’t fully programmed and were still glitchy the whole mess even happened. The Salazars would be named saviors, even if the consortium got their grubby hands on some of them.

Rex is just as much a genius as the rest of his family and if he hadn’t repeatedly gotten amnesia from being forced to abandon his humanity then he would have been able to more than keep up with Caesar. He knew advanced math with no training and created intense and complicated machines himself. Look at the multiple functions on some of his builds- the Smack Hands can also be used as drills, the sword can turn into a sawblade- that’s incredible engineering!

If his intellectual side had been properly nurtured instead of being hammered in he’s just good for hitting stuff then he probably would have helped Holiday and Caesar create at least a partial cure for the EVOs he didn’t have time to help.

FURTHERMORE, Rex created a motor that can run on GRAVITY, with only atoms of selenium- a non-toxic element- as output. That’s INCREDIBLE. That’s half a step above self-sustaining generator! The kid is a genius!
