straight ppl really think gays just hate other gays who aren’t open about their sexuality hence why so many coming out stories written by straight ppl have openly gay characters telling closeted characters they need to come or else they hate themselves like bitch that’s not self hatred that’s just protecting yourself and exercising ur right to privacy

I don’t think straight people really think we hate closeted people. I think THEY hate closeted people because it makes them uncomfortable that the gays could be among them without them instantly knowing. I think they hate closeted people because they feel entitled to know intimate details about our ~lurid~ lives. But they know they can’t just SAY that so they put it in the mouths of fictional gay people for plausible deniability.

I’m hetero but I have a tendency to fetishize gay male characters sometimes and I hate it. I know it’s a sin, but also even the gay community would be mad at me for fettishizing them. It’s like a lose, lose situation on every side. Pray for me if you have a moment. ♡

Deuteronomy 4:22-24 New International Version (NIV)

john15-10:

You know I remember a moment I held Shiro (from Voltron) at an idol position.

I would draw him, I would read fan fictions on him, lots of other things… *ahem*

Anyways, when I came stronger in my faith I told God I’d choose him over Shiro if I had to.

And guess what. God put me to the test.

Shiro came out as gay and I was DEVASTATED. But I knew I had to let it go. I couldn’t worship sin. I couldn’t accept him, I had to let him go.

So I chose God over Shiro.

Here’s the thing; interests come and go, they’ll change overtime, but God will always stay the same. He’ll always be there.

Gods worth it!

22 I will die in this land; I will not cross the Jordan; but you are about to cross over and take possession of that good land.23 Be careful not to forget the covenant of the Lord your God that he made with you; do not make for yourselves an idol in the form of anything the Lord your God has forbidden. 24 For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.

If you can’t see why otherkin/asexuals/bdsm fans are not oppressed in any manner remotely similar to poc/women/lgbt people then you Might Just Be Really Clueless And Not Applying Your Capacity For Critical Thought (MJBRCANAYCFCT)

i agree on the otherkin and bdsm ”fans” as you call them, but considering how asexuals are treated, youre way off course there buddy

hot take but transphobia and homophobia are inexorably linked and saying “this thing is transphobic, not homophobic!” or “this thing is homophobic, not transphobic!” is absolutely useless in most contexts. jokes about how ugly and weird “men in dresses”, jokes about someone breaking gender roles, jokes about someone looking like the “opposite” gender… legislation saying that two people of the same legal sex cannot get married or adopt… trans people of every orientation and cis gay people face so many of the same problems!

that’s WHY it’s LGBT! it’s why gay people and straight trans people work together! because homophobia and transphobia and intertwined and linked and you cannot dismantle one without dismantling the other! ignoring either homophobia or transphobia in favor of the other is missing the point!

cishets have tricked a very large amount of people on this site into thinking it’s okay for them to be homophobic

me: homophobia is bad
this scholar: hm sounds aphobic :/

I love how the post didn’t even say anything about aces but this person saw the word “homophobia” and jumped to their own defense lmaoooo

Tea time part of the reason it’s hard to create LGBT spaces for minors is because there is a common perception that we’re literally child predators. Like if a gay man were to try and make some sort of youth center for young boys the critiques would be relentless. There are probably people who would read that sentence and think those critiques are justified.

do you ever just…read a post…and abigoted tumblr has gotten you so fucked up that you know them so well

that you can read ace hate leaking out of it

it could say something legit like “damn do i love me some fish and chips” and you’re like yeah

but your radar is that good on the Rhetoric

anyways op is an abigot

you are 25 years old and derailing a post about LGBT people being viewed as child predators and pedophiles and being unable to create safe spaces for LGBT youth by calling it “#mogiibigoted” because your “abigotry radar” told you it was somehow anti-asexual why is tumblr like this Jesus Christ it’s time to get a hobby and go outside and also try to get over the bucketloads of homophobia you got pal

you people do realize that just because licensed conversion therapy is illegal in some states it’s not like…magically not a problem anymore right? like the laws in most states only ban licensed or medically affiliated conversion therapy. Ex-gay “ministries” and other religiously affiliated or unlicensed groups can still market conversion services in states like California, Nevada, and Colorado so long as they’re presented and run like “voluntary and non-medical services.” Supposedly liberal states have some of the most active and extremist conversion programs in the entire country because of these loopholes. I know so many people who have been subjected to conversion therapy, in both legal and illegal states, whether they were minors who couldn’t leave or young adults being coerced by family, to the point where some of them were sent out of state for weeks on end before returning as completely different and self-hating people. Most programs advertise themselves as being completely voluntary, but it is extremely rare for that to be the case. Allowing unlicensed services to continue also opens up the door for even more extreme abuses, as the methods are no longer regulated by the healthcare system. I’ve had friends experience sexual assault at the hands of “religious guides” at unlicensed ministries, undergo aversion therapy by way of electric shocks and other pain, and experience mind-numbing psychological torture that some will likely never recover from. This is a common experience, and you can find similar narratives littering the internet. Most of these people attend camps and therapy offered by ministry services, which very often fall under the category of “religious counsel.” So you can’t make a blanket statement like “well it’s just illegal in that part of the country” because it’s never that easy for us.
