If schools taught actual life skills, like how a car works, or how to cook, or how to raise a kid, or how love works whether it be friendship or relationship, we’d be living better and thats just facts
but the education system is fucking stupid and doesnt wanna prepare us for our lives outside of school :^)
They used to, but baby boomers that raised us voted out funding of schools. so schools needed to make cuts. I had home economics who taught cooking, sewing and budgeting. There was a shop class that could have took that taught vehicular mechanics, electrical working in years 9-12, and wood and metal working starting at grade 6 and on if they hadn’t gotten rid of it due to budgeting the year i was due to start them.
I also would have learned a second language if they had it in their budgeting…
