The ace/MOGAI discourse isn’t harmless or a joke. It entitles cishets – straight people – to shout down LGBT folks and shit on people who are actually oppressed by homophobia and transphobia.
You can’t give cishet aces the mic in LGBT discussions without silencing people who are actually LGBT.

if aces can be trans, they can be cis. if aces can be gay, they can be straight. aces can be cis and straight. straight and cis people are cishet. cishets aren’t lgbt
the concept of “cishethet” is a load of bullshit. gay aces are still gay if they’re homoromantic asexuals, so why the hell are straight aces not straight for being heteroromantic asexuals?

yeah, because autism is still a form of neurodivergence. they’re both mental disorders. likewise, people with depression are still allistic, even though they’re neurodivergent
in the same way, asexuality is still a valid orientation. it’s just not inherently lgbt, like how an autistic person who isn’t depressed isn’t part of the community of people with depression just because they’re autistic, an ace person isn’t part of the lgbt community just because they’re ace
